Meet the Team

Hi, I’m Dr. Erica Bello, owner and veterinarian at Vetopia Animal Health!
I grew up on a small family farm in New Jersey, where my love for animals began early. I spent much of my childhood and young adult life as a horse crazy girl. I found my true calling while working for an Equine Veterinary hospital as a veterinary technician. This inspired me to pursue a career as a veterinarian, and I never looked back.

I earned my BS Degree in Animal Science from Rutgers University, graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, and completed my clinical training at Colorado State University. After 10 years of private practice in South Florida, we made our home here in Chattanooga, TN, the perfect place to build Vetopia.

My clinical interests include Ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, emergency/urgent care and internal medicine. 

Outside of being a vet, I’m a wife to Jerren, the creative experience manager at Vetopia,  mom to Jaelyn (a dedicated animal lover already), and dog mom to Irie, our 11.5-year-old pitty mix. I love being outdoors in this amazing city soaking up all nature has to offer. You can find me paddleboarding at Chester Frost, chasing waterfalls, and supporting as many local businesses as I can find! I am so grateful to be a part of your pet's journey!
